This is an early made olinto p bass built by non other than james carbonnetti and mas hino. I purchased it from la bella in 2016. It sports a roasted maple neck and florida grown rosewood board with a sap strip that follows the e string. Carbonetti gold is one of olinto's signature colours, and it looks especially good paired with the anodized gold guard!

No two p basses sound exactly alike. Fwiw, i think (if memory serves) mas hino reverse engineered the olinto p from a 1963 fender p bass. Not sure how a 62 and 63 spec up against each other. And i can't say enough good about it.

The olinto select sports the same dimensions as a standard olinto, but uses select woods for tops, bottoms and fingerboards.
